INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
A. Characteristics
1. ANALES DE LA REAL ACADEMIA
NACIONAL DE FARMACIA is a quarterly
magazine. In order to be published, the
mentioned magazine will take into
account the works done in connection
wit the pharmaceutical science and
related areas, linked to basic and applied words), both in English and Spanish.

2. The magazine will mainly include
the following sections:
REVIEWS: performed by specialists and
by request of Publication Commission,
will be dedicated to updating and
final preparation surveys. After due
consideration of the Editorial Board, not
requested reviews could be accepted.
ORIGINAL ARTICLES: not previously
published surveys in connection with
pharmaceutical science and related
areas, will be edited. The wording has to
be concise and the extent will depend on
the results. The mentioned results are to
be rigorous and original.
SHORT COMMUNICATIONS: have to include
a description of the remarks and the
status of the research in course. The
text will not exceed from five pages
(paper size A4), (doubled-spaced), with a
maximum of two-three graphs/tables,
and including 10-12 bibliographic
abbreviated references at maximum.
ACADEMIC INFORMATION: will inform
about the different courses, scientific
sessions and others, which the magazine
deem necessary.
B. Operating instructions
1. PRESENTATION. One original and
two copies have to be delivered to the
SECRETARÍA DE LA REAL ACADEMIA
DE FARMACIA. In addition to this, the
original electronic format (WORD) has
to be provided.
First page: will include the following:
Title of the survey (in English and in
Spanish), authors, and the complete
AN. R. ACAD. NAL. FARM.
address (e-mail and telephone included)
of the working center where the survey
has been developed. Moreover, it has to
be included an abbreviated title, three or
four words.
Second page: include a repetition of
the title and a summary (maximum 200

The review surveys, in Spanish or in
English, have to include an extensive
summary (1-2 sheets, size A4) in the
language different from the original one.
In addition to this, the standard summary
has to be included (maximum 200 words).
2. WRITING. Original documents have
to be typewritten single-spaced using A4
paper, with the following format: Letter
type: Times New Roman; size: 12 points;
margin superior: 6 cm, inferior: 6 cm;
left: 4,2 cm, right: 4,2 cm; headed: 5,2
cm and foot of page: 5,2 cm. Number of
words: 10.000. Maximum of pages: 30.
Ilustrations: 8 as maximum.
It is recommended to include a critical
section, an experimental section and a
discussion of the results. Additionally,
when deemed necessary, may be
included a thanks giving appendix.
The introduction must include the
aims and the objectives and be as brief
as possible.
A reference to prior surveys, from the
author or from third parties, has to be
made in connection with the current
survey, if it is deemed necessary to a
better comprehension of the work.
The experimental part has only to
include the needed data to re-perform
the experiments.
Regarding short communications, the
justification, the approach, the
methodology, the results, and related
comments, have to be written following
a logical process (it is required not to
include separations on the mentioned
process). A brief summary in English
and Spanish language is required.
