In 2009, collaborationcontinued with the manufacture of oseltamivir tablets and the storage of more thanfive million packages of antivirals drugs during the H1N1 pandemic.In 2014, due to the possibility of a nuclear risk situation, an agreement was signedwith the Spanish Ministry of Home Affairs for the manufacture and supply of PotassiumIodide. During the COVID pandemic, as a consequence of being declared the Alert State,the capacities of the Spanish Military Pharmacy were made available to OperationBalmis. Collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Health has been strengthened with theimplementation of the Royal Decree which determines the application of the criteriaand standards for the guarantee and rational use of medicines and healthcare productsin the Spanish Armed Forces, by authorizing the Spanish Military Pharmacy tomanufacture and distribute medicines in exceptional circumstances.With regard to the storage and custody of the medicines and health products stock, itis a strength that the Spanish Military Pharmacy has available the Military Centre ofDefence Pharmacy, Military Pharmacies and Military Pharmaceutical Warehousesdeployed throughout the national territory.PALABRAS CLAVEFarmacia MilitarViruelaYoduro pot%u00e1sicoOperaci%u00f3n BalmisPandemiaRESUMENLa colaboraci%u00f3n de Farmacia Militar con la sociedad civil se ha visto incrementada enlos %u00faltimos veinte a%u00f1os, cuando los dos millones de vacunas para la viruela adquiridaspor el Ministerio de Sanidad se custodiaron en el Centro Militar de Farmacia. En el a%u00f1o2009 continua la colaboraci%u00f3n con la fabricaci%u00f3n de comprimidos de oseltamivir y elalmacenamiento de m%u00e1s de cinco millones de envases de antivirales en la pandemiaH1N1.En el 2014 y ante la posibilidad de riesgo nuclear, se firma con el Ministerio de Interiorel acuerdo para la fabricaci%u00f3n y suministro de yoduro pot%u00e1sico. En la pandemia COVID,como consecuencia de la Declaraci%u00f3n del Estado de Alarma, las capacidades deFarmacia Militar fueron puestas a disposici%u00f3n de la Operaci%u00f3n Balmis. La colaboraci%u00f3n con el Ministerio de Sanidad se ha fortalecido con la implantaci%u00f3n delReal Decreto por el que se determina la aplicaci%u00f3n de los criterios y normas de garant%u00eday uso racional de los medicamentos y productos sanitarios en las Fuerzas Armadas, alautorizar a Farmacia Militar la fabricaci%u00f3n y distribuci%u00f3n de medicamentos ante causasexcepcionales.En relaci%u00f3n con el almacenamiento y custodia de la reserva de medicamentos yproductos sanitarios, es una fortaleza que Farmacia Militar disponga del Centro Militar,Farmacias y Almacenes farmac%u00e9uticos desplegados por todo el territorio nacional.
