The similarity is noted in terms of their starting point andestablishment of specific objectives, e.g., the practice of chemistry. Differencesare observed in the admission criteria, which are more restrictive by the%u201cChemical Society%u201d. Both societies are the result of the process of differentiationof science, and the reaffirmation of professional sentiment and the rightsassociated with the practice of the trade. Key figures are reviewed in both cases,highlighting in the case of the %u201cChemical Society%u201d the German influence on Britishchemistry. The search for a headquarters that satisfies the material needs andthe fulfilment of the entrusted missions involves a long pilgrimage. The %u201cChemicalSociety of London%u201d soon became the %u201cChemical Society%u201d and later became the%u201cRoyal Society of Chemistry%u201d.
