Simposium 9: ADENOSINE-RECEPTOR CONTAINING COMPLEXES. FROM MOLECULAR DYNAMICS AND PHARMACOLOGY TO METABOLISM Chairs : Kjell Fuxe (Stockholm, Sweden) / Rafael Franco (Barcelona, Spain) Content : Purinergic G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) were among the first to be discovered forming complexes with other cell surface receptors. More recently, they have been instrumental to advance in the understanding of GPCR pharmacology and physiological role. This symposium covers dynamics of dimer formation, and the role of GPCR-GPCR and GPCR-ionotropic (NMDA) receptor heteromers in metabolism/obesity and in the CNS/neurodegeneration.
